However, he defended his doctorate in physiology from the University of Rochester. In the years 2002-2013 he wa a professor of internal medicine at Universitetcie Illinois State. From 2013 Deputy Dean of Education at the College of Clinical Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Midwestern University in Chicago.
