Jan Trela is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Immediately after graduation, thanks to earlier practice was accepted for an internship in the United States. He finished one year practice and then worked in one of the best and most modern clinics for horses, Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in California.After a few years he returned to Poland. He worked for a year at his Alma Mater as a surgeon and academic teacher. Then he received a scholarship from the US association of veterinary surgeons and as a first surgeon from Poland was given the chance to do the specialization (residency) in horses surgery at the prestigious University of Davis. In 2014 he finished his specialization and accepted a position at the University of UC Davis, thus continuing his clinical work and research.For several years he is traveling to improve his skills and learn new clinical cases. Regularly drives and operates in clinics in Dubai and Cairo, as well as lectures at conferences and surgical congresses all over the world. Currently he is undergoing, as one of two veterinary surgeons in the US, internship at one of the leading centers of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine for the people at the University of Texas at Dallas. The cooperation is aimed at learning new surgical techniques and further training in the field of orthopedic surgery.
