Dr. Palm graduated from the University of California, Davis school of veterinary medicine and then completed an internship and residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is Board Certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine. She practiced as a small animal internist for one year in a specialty practice and then returned to UC Davis to complete a 2-year fellowship in nephrology, hemodialysis/extracorporeal medicine and urinary medicine. Since 2011 she has been a faculty member at the UC Davis School of veterinary medicine and is currently an Associate Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine.
She is interested in all aspects of renal and urinary medicine, but her main focuses are acute kidney injury (including feline ureteral obstruction), extracorporeal therapies (including hemodialysis and apheresis) and interventional endourology. Dr. Palm is currently completing a 2-year master’s program in clinical translational research at the UC Davis School of Medicine.
