Katherine Quesenberry

Dr. Quesenberry received her DVM degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia in 1981. She completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 1982 and a residency in Wildlife and Zoological Medicine at the University of Florida in 1984. Dr. Quesenberry received a Master's Degree in Public Health from Yale University in 2006, with an emphasis in Microbial Diseases.

Since 1984, Dr. Quesenberry has headed the Avian and Exotic Pet Service at the Bobst Hospital of the Animal Medical Center in New York, where she has trained more than 16 residents. Dr. Quesenberry has co-edited several books, including "Avian Medicine and Surgery", "Ferrets, Rabbits and Rodents: Clinical Medicine and Surgery," a top-selling veterinary book, and “Avian Medicine and Surgery, and Veterinary Clinics of North America: Exotic Pet Medicine” I and II.

Dr. Quesenberry is the Scientific Editor of the Journal of Avian Medicine and Surgery, an international journal published by the Association of Avian Veterinarians. She has lectured extensively throughout the United States and Europe about the medicine of birds and exotic pets.
